What to Do When Your NDIS Plan Isn’t Working

There might be times that NDIS participants feel that their current plan doesn’t meet their needs anymore, and they don’t know what to do.

An early review of the NDIS plan can help get a better plan towards support as well as funding.

Any time a plan fails to meet the needs of individuals due to outdated goals or lacking adequate funding on services, then it is possible to conduct reviews of the NDIS plan.

Participants and their families should ask themselves periodically whether their plan provides them with what they need at the moment. In case of unmet needs, inadequate funding, or other new goals, there is always an opportunity to submit a plan for the review.

Before setting the process of reviewing the plan, some evidence, such as the new medical report, the therapist’s opinion, or feedback from the support provider, is required. All this information supports the need for changes within the plan.

This can, however, be done by the local area coordinators (LACs) or support coordinators in order to allow the participant to trace what they are going through clearly and systematically. It is made to the NDIS; participants are called for a plan review session in which details that include specific needs, goals, and funds are planned.

Benefits of an NDIS Plan Review

An plan review enables adjustments that can greatly enhance the ways that assistive technology, or other therapies, assist the individual get out in the community.

To this end, participants are given an opportunity to gain sufficient funds that meet their current needs. This improves the level of quality for participants' lives.

Following the approval of a new plan of action, services such as personal, accommodation, or novelty items may be obtained together. This process also engulfs the participant aspects by addressing the participants and their requirements.

This can make a lot of difference in understanding how best to manage support when there is an appreciation of the need to have an NDIS plan review.

This way participants develop the skill of effectively utilising their NDIS plan ability by identifying a time when they felt a plan was lacking, reaching out for help, or taking efforts to revise funding or goals.

When issues surface, the review process affords a way of solving them based on how the participants get what they require for their success.
